oving and faithful God, through the
years the people of our archdiocese
have appreciated the prayers and
love of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in times
of war, disaster, epidemic and illness. We
come to you, Father, with Mary our Mother,
and ask you to help us in the battle of today
against violence, murder and racism.
We implore you to give us your wisdom that
we may build a community founded on the
values of Jesus, which gives respect to the
life and dignity of all people.

OPEN HOUSE * JANUARY 22
Bless parents that they may form their children in faith. Bless and protect our youth
that they may be peacemakers of our time.
Give consolation to those who have lost
loved ones through violence.
Hear our prayer and give us the perseverance to be a voice for life and human dignity
in our community.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help
us.
Mother Henriette Delille, pray for us that we
may be a holy family.

Como el Agua
Estribillo
Como el agua que hacia el mar
va desde las montañas,
nuestras manos buscan un lugar
en torno a tu altar,
nuestras manos buscan un lugar
en torno a tu altar.
Comunión
El Pan de la Vida
Estribillo
Yo soy el pan de la vida
que ha bajado del cielo.
El que come este pan
vivirá para siempre.
1. Agua, luz de los arroyos
para el caminante
sediento y sin paz.
Agua, llena tú mis pasos
con la transparencia
que da la verdad.
2. Agua, lava tú mis manos,
voy cubierto de barro
desde el amanecer.
Agua, ven, penetra mi cueva,
necesito encontrarme
al anochecer.
Señor, Tu eres nuestra Luz
Estribillo
Señor, tú eres nuestra luz,
Señor, tú eres la verdad,
Señor, tú eres nuestra paz.
1. Queriendo acompañarnos
te hiciste peregrino,
compartes nuestra vida,
nos muestras el camino.
2. Nos pides que tengamos
humilde confianza,
tu amor sabrá llenarnos
de vida y esperanza.
3. No basta con rezarte
Canto Final
La Buena Nueva
1. Está sobre mí el Espíritu del Señor.
Está sobre mí,
porque Él me escogió.
Estribillo
Él me envió para anunciar
que al afligido aliviará.
Él me envió para anunciar
que al afligido aliviará.
La buena nueva dar,
la buena nueva dar,
la buena nueva,
la buena nueva del Señor, del Señor;
la buena nueva dar,
la buena nueva dar,
la buena nueva,
la buena nueva del Señor, del Señor.
2. Está sobre mí el Espíritu del Señor.
Está sobre mí, el Espíritu me ungió.

Sending Forth
Come to the feast of heaven and earth!
Come to the table of plenty!
God will provide for all that we need,
here at the table of plenty.
1. O come and sit at my table
where saints and sinners are friends.
I wait to welcome the lost and lonely

come to drink without price.
My feast of gladness will feed your spirit
with faith and fullness of life.
3. My bread will ever sustain you
through days of sorrow and woe.
My wine will flow like a sea of gladness
to flood the depths of your soul.
4. Your fields will flower in fullness;
your homes will flourish in peace.
For I, the giver of home and harvest,
will send my rain on the soil.

mundo. Su edificación es modelo
para todos los bautisterios que se
construyeron después, incluyendo
quizá la pila bautismal que puede
haber en tu propia parroquia.
Pray for Jeanette Barrilleaux, mother
of Ray Barrilleaux and mother-in-law
of Ann Marie and Donald A. Howard,
Sr. , husband of Jeanne Howard. May
their souls and the souls of all the
faithful departed, through the mercy
of God, rest in peace!

Sacred Heart Enthronement
“After He was baptized, He came
up from the water and behold the
heavens were opened up, and he
saw the Spirit of God descending
like a dove and coming upon
Him. And a voice coming from
the heavens, saying, “This is my
beloved Son, with whom I am
well pleased.” Mt. 3:16-17
The message of the Baptism of Jesus is mercy and
the path to mercy is humility. Jesus who is God humbled Himself to show us the way. Blessed Teresa of
Calcutta emphasized to her community the great desire of Jesus to be real in their lives. She said, “I worry
some of you still have not really met Jesus-one to one
-you and Jesus alone. We may spend time in chapel,
but have you seen with the eyes of your soul how He
looks at you with love? Do you really know the living
Jesus, not from books but from being with Him in
your hearts?” Jesus wants to be real for us, He wants
to speak to each of us an individual and unique message from the depths of His love.
Come Lord Jesus. Come to my unworthy heart, clear
the cobwebs in my soul present there because of my
sins. I am sorry that I hurt you Lord. Shower me with
your mercy, show me Your face. I desire nothing as
great as your mercy. “Jesus wants you each to hear
Him-speaking in the silence of your heart.” Bl. Teresa
of Calcutta.

“Éste es mi Hijo amado, a quien he elegido.”
Ella dijo: "me preocupan
Vienen a mi indigno corazón. Siento que
me duele, Señor.

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are in
the Blessed Sacrament. I love You
above all
things, and I
long for You in
my soul. Since I
cannot now
receive You
sacramentally,
come at least
spiritually into
my heart. As
though You have already come, I
embrace You and unite myself entirely to You; never permit me to be
separated from You.
Acto de Comunión
Espiritual
alma. Como
ahora no puedo recibirte
sacramentalmente, al menos ven a mi corazón espiritualmente. Como ya has venido, Yo te
abrazo y me uno enteramente a Ti.
Nunca permitas que me separe de
ti.
