Neighborhood Revitalization through Code Enforcement: CIVIL PENALTY NOTICE AND ORDER | This notice
was issued for the property located at 702 Sunnyside Avenue for being in violation of the San Diego Municipal Code.
The property on Sunnyside Avenue failed to allow the removal of poles, overheard wires, and associated overhead
structures to allow for the underground conversion of existing overhead utilities. Civil Penalties are assessed at a daily rate
not-to-exceed $2,500 per day per violation and a total maximum of $250,000 per parcel. Code enforcement helps to
keep our neighborhoods clean and safe.
Clean and Safe Neighborhoods: In partnership with communities, the City of San Diego’s Environmental Services
Department conducts special community clean up events in neighborhoods throughout the City. Areas are selected for
these events based upon citizen requests, pledges of community involvement and previous citizen participation levels. On
December 6, 2014, we conducted a community cleanup in the Paradise Hills area. This successful cleanup removed
a total of 21 tons of waste from our neighborhoods. Doing good in the neighborhood!
