BENEDICTION:
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place every
Saturday morning in the lower church from 8:00AM to
9:00AM. Come at any time during this Holy Hour to pray
in the presence of the Eucharistic Lord. Benediction takes
place at 8:50 AM.

ALL SAINTS DAY
This year, All Saints Day, Saturday, November 1st, is not
a Holy Day of Obligation. However, we will celebrate this
feast day on Saturday at the 9:00AM Mass.
REMEMBRANCE BOOKS
On November 1st, remembrance books will be placed in
the front of the upper and lower church and will remain there
for the month of November. We invite you to write the
names of your deceased loved ones on the pages of these
books. As a parish community, all of these faithful departed
will be remembered in our prayers during the “Month of All
Souls”.
ALL SOULS DAY ENVELOPES
All Souls Day is Sunday, November 2nd. Kindly have
the envelopes, with the names of your loved ones, into the
church by Friday, October 31st. This will give us time to
place them on the altar for All Souls Day. Extra envelopes
are available at the doors of the church.
ALL SOULS DAY CONCERT - NOVEMBER 2nd,
LOWER CHURCH, 4:00PM
Il Giardino d’Amore is a European Baroque orchestra
that performs on original instruments and has appeared in
festivals and concert halls in Europe, the U.S., and Canada.
Founder and leader Stefan Plewniak has been a soloist and
concertmaster in many ensembles and collaborates with
Jordi Savall and William Christi. Mezzo-soprano Natalia
Kawalek-Plewniak has performed as a soloist and is the
winner of several international competitions. Harpsichordist
Anthony Newman has performed keyboard music in the
U.S. for more than 35 years.
Tickets for their Carnegie Hall appearance are selling for
$35 - $55, but tickets for the St. Rose concert are $10. Refreshments will be served following the performance. Flyers
are located at the doors of the church.
MASS FOR DECEASED PARISHIONERS
On Monday, November 3rd, at 7:30PM, we will celebrate
a Mass in the lower church to remember in a special way all
those who were buried from our parish during this past year:

LIVING JUSTLY
“You give that back right now!” How many of us have
heard that line, probably more than once, as we were
growing up? We come home with the trophy of what we
thought was a really sweet deal, only to have our parents
undo our profits by making us return the spoils. They had
a different idea of what constituted a “fair trade
agreement.” Justice in our dealings with others continues
to be an important measure of our character, and like a
good parent, God cares very much about how we treat
each other and about how others treat us. God hears the
cry of the poor, and answers the call of the oppressed.
God’s beloved children are not to behave like bullies.

FEAST OF FAITH
The Sound of Communion
The priest receives Holy Communion, and then there
is movement, a bustle of activity, as we prepare to join the
Communion procession. This holy meal does not happen
in silence! Instead, we sing together even as we rise and
move forward in procession to the altar. We must change
and move to receive the Eucharist, and fittingly so, since
the Eucharist is transformative - it demands action of us,
internal as well as external. We do not receive the
sacrament in silence, but with a dialogue that is also a
profession of faith: “The Body of Christ.” “Amen.” “The
Blood of Christ.” “Amen.” We acknowledge the real
presence of Christ in the Eucharist with our “Amen” of
faith, but more, our “Amen” is also a prayer that we may
become what we receive, the Body of Christ, living and
active in the world. We receive him not that he may
become a part of us, but that we may become a part of
him - part, too, of all the others who receive him, the

zachodem słońca, bo jest to jedyna jego szata i jedyne
okrycie jego ciała podczas snu. I jeśliby się on żalił
przede Mną, usłyszę go, bo jestem litościwy. Nie będziesz
bluźnił Bogu i nie będziesz złorzeczył temu, który rządzi
twoim ludem. Nie będziesz się ociągał z ofiarą z obfitości
zbiorów i soku wyciskanego w tłoczni. I oddasz Mi twego
pierworodnego syna. To samo uczynisz z pierworodnym z
bydła i trzody. Przez siedem dni będzie przy matce swojej,
a dnia ósmego oddasz je Mnie.
Księga Wyjścia 22:20-26
Gdy faryzeusze dowiedzieli się, że Jezus zamknął usta
saduceuszom, zebrali się razem, a jeden z nich, uczony w
Prawie, zapytał , wystawiając Go na próbę: Nauczycielu,
które przykazanie w Prawie jest największe? On mu
odpowiedział: Będziesz miłował Pana Boga swego całym
swoim sercem, całą swoją duszą i całym swoim umysłem.
To jest największe i pierwsze przykazanie. Drugie
podobne jest do niego: Będziesz miłował swego bliźniego
jak siebie samego. Na tych dwóch przykazaniach opiera
się całe Prawo i Prorocy.

REFLEKSJA NAD CZYTANIAMI NIEDZIELNYMI...
„Niech się weseli serce szukających Pana” - głosi
antyfona na wejście. Weselcie się wy, którzy Go
szukacie, albowiem szukając, już Go znaleźliście. Pan
bowiem jest łaskawy i litościwy, słyszy nasze nawet
najbardziej ukryte tęsknoty. Wybiega nam naprzeciw po
każdej, nawet najlichszej kładce, jaką zechcemy do Niego
przerzucić nad przepaścią naszej samotności i grzechu.
Dziś oczekuje nas przy swoim stole, by pokrzepić
i uleczyć nasze serca i uczynić je naczyniami
miłosierdzia, z których każdy będzie mógł zaczerpnąć
i napić się do woli. Aby ci, którzy się z nami spotkają,
doświadczyli, że Bóg jest miłością.

CONCIERTO CLASSICO
Concierto Día de Difuntos, domingo, 2 de noviembre a
las 4:00 PM, en la iglesia de abajo. Presentado por una
orquesta barroca europea que consiste de músicos de
Polonia, Italia, y España. Folletos de información se
encuentran en las puertas de la iglesia. Vengan a disfrutar
con sus amigos.
VIVIR EN JUSTICIA
“¡Devuélvelo ahora mismo!”. ¿Cuántas veces hemos
escuchado esa frase, probablemente más de una vez,
cuando éramos niños? Llegamos a casa con el trofeo que
consideramos un dulce hallazgo, para que nuestros padres
deshicieran nuestras ganancias haciéndonos devolver el
botín. Ellos tenían un concepto muy diferente de lo que
constituye un acuerdo “de intercambio justo”. La justicia
en nuestros tratos con otros constituye una importante
medida de nuestro carácter, como un buen padre de
familia, a Dios le importa mucho cómo nos tratamos los
unos a los otros y cómo los otros nos tratan a nosotros.
Dios oye el clamor de los pobres y responde al llamado de
los oprimidos. Los hijos bien amados de Dios no se han de
comportar como abusadores.

Día de los Difuntos es domingo, 2 de noviembre.
Todos los feligreses registrados han recibido un sobre en
su paquete. Sírvase tener los sobres, con los nombres de
sus seres queridos, en la iglesia no más tarde de 31 de
octubre. Esto nos dará tiempo para colocarlos en el altar
