A Message from Fr. Doan, Pastor
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for being such an integral part of St. Anthony’s Parish community. I am fortunate to minister to a community of Christian stewards who
are committed to growing in their faith, sharing that faith with others, and in a most cherished
example, act on that faith by assisting those most in need.
Together in Mission campaign is an annual opportunity for our Archdiocese to come
together as one and give back to those in our Archdiocese that need it the most. Some of our
families have contributed to help the poorest of the churches and the poorest of the schools
within our archdiocese generously even though we are not a wealthy church.
As we approach the end of this year’s campaign drive, our parish goal was $56,300.00.
The amount collected as of Monday, October 3, 2016 is $46,601.03. Thus, leaving an outstanding and remaining balance of $9,698.97.
I ask those who have not donated, to reconsider and contribute as your budget permits
so that we will be able to meet our goal once again. Thank you for your continual support in
helping those in need especially during this Jubilee Year of Mercy as we continue to live by
Pope Francis’ call to be merciful. May God continue to abundantly bless each and every one
of you, and your families.

Quiero aprovechar esta oportunidad para darle las gracias por ser una parte integral de
la comunidad de la Parroquia de San Antonio. Tengo la suerte de servir a una comunidad de
mayordomos cristianos que están comprometidos a crecer en su fe, compartiendo la fe con
otros, y en un ejemplo más apreciado, actuando en la fe, ayudando a los más necesitados.
Juntos en Misión campaña es una oportunidad anual para nuestra Arquidiócesis para que nos juntamos como solo uno identidad y dar de nuevo a los más necesitándose de
nuestra Arquidiócesis. Algunas de nuestras familias han contribuido a ayudar a los más pobres de las iglesias y los más pobres de las escuelas en nuestra arquidiócesis generosamente a
pesar de que no somos una iglesia rica.
A medida que nos acercamos al final de la unidad de la campaña de este año, nuestro
objetivo parroquial es $ 56,300.00. La cantidad recogida desde el lunes, 3 de octubre de 2016
es $ 46,601.03. Por lo tanto, dejando un saldo pendiente y el resto de $ 9,698.97.
Les pido a los feligreses que no han donado, a reconsiderar y contribuir como su presupuesto lo permite, de manera que seremos capaces de cumplir nuestro objetivo, una vez
más. Gracias por su continuo apoyo de ayudar a los necesitados, especialmente durante este

As a reminder, St. Anthony School has a closed campus policy. In the interest of security and safety for
students & staff, our campus will be locked and fully secured. All visitors/parents must report directly

St. Anthony School students appreciate the support of our parishioners for their generosity in buying or selling our school’s annual raffle ticket fundraiser. The winners for the Fall Fiesta 2016 are
first place winner, Jessica de la Cruz, received
$1,000, 2nd place, Martha Gonzalez, received
$500, and 3rd place, Rebecca Sanchez, received
$250.

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on October 19-21. This conference is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the partnership between parents and teachers. Students will be dismissed at
noon on these days. The school office will remain
open until 4:00pm.
The annual fall See’s candy sale begins on Tuesday, October 18th. If you know a school family, please contact
them to order See’s for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New
Year’s Day. If you would prefer, please come to the
school office and we give you an order form. 30% of your
purchases go to the school.
October is Respect Life month. Please join the St.
Anthony students as they celebrate a special Mass
on Wednesday, October 18th at 11:00am. The Liturgy
is planned by the 8th grade. All are welcome!
Please join St. Anthony School and Santa Clara High
School as we celebrate All Saints Day as one school
family. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on November 1st here at St. Anthony. All are Welcome!
St. Anthony’s School invites all families and parishioners to our Family Mass on Sunday, October 23rd
at 10:30am. Please join us as we praise our God as
a community. Wear your black and red to show your

World Mission Sunday
Next week, we will celebrate World Sunday. Its theme this year is “Mercy Changes the World.” Pope
Francis invites the entire Church to support the young mission dioceses in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands,
and parts of Latin America and Europe, where priests, religious and lay leaders serve some of the poorest of
the poor. Please keep the Missions in your prayers and be generous in next week’s collection for the Society if the Propagation of the Faith.

Youth Ministry: Join us for an evening of song, laughter,
and faith as we welcome back Jesse Manibusan to Sacred
