I had the pleasure of reading Mr. Hoff's book as part of a class with the same name I took at the
Bible institute I attended, but in Spanish (El Pentateuco) and Mr. Hoff is very detailed in his writting,
he also gives the historical backgrounds of each book of the Pentateuch. His writting is easy to
understand and enjoyable. It also gives you a different perspective of the first five books of the
Bible.I highly recommend this book!
If u read Spanish, there's no more readable, scholarly book by a conservative theologian on the
Pentateuch. Why it hasn't been translated into English, I don't know. I'm using it to teach an elective
class called survey of the Old Teastament at thelighthousechristianacademy.com
I ordered this book for a friend for a class that we are taking. When I received the book but I was a
little worried because the cover that was advertised was not the cover on the book, but after looking
through it, it was the correct book, I just felt a little uneasy about it at first.
The book had a great print size. Made it much easier to read. Previous book print was too small.
Great study tool.
