Pro Populo (For the People)
Love is what saves us
We need to love our neighbors and our
enemies too: The Greek word used for
loving enemies is not storge (affection or
natural love towards family members), or
philia = friendship (love of close friends), or
eros (=romance) (passionate love between a
young man and woman), but agápe
=unconditional love which is the invincible
benevolence or good will for another’s
highest good. Since agápe or unconditional
love is not natural, practicing it is possible
only with God’s help. Agápe love is a choice
more than a feeling. We choose to love, not
because our enemies deserve our love, but
because Jesus loves them so much that he
died for them. We have in the Acts of the
Apostles the example of St. Stephen, the
first martyr, who prayed for those who
were putting him to death.

St. Ann’s Rebuilding Notes
A building committee was established
by Fr. Carlos.
The building committee received a
proposal from MLARCHITECT in Post
Falls. They have designed several
churches, Catholic and others. Their
proposal was complete and at a very
reasonable cost. The committee
recommended that this architect be
engaged to design our new church. The
parish council and the finance
committee have approved the selection
of this architect. A Special Use Permit is
required and work on the application
has started.
An E-mail account has been setup that
allows a comment, suggestion, or
question to be sent to all members of the
Building Committee at the same time.
The E-mail address is;

We have received $26,675.00 in
donations from people all over the
United States.
We have a web site for St. Ann’s at
