ANOINTING OF THE SICK – Anyone entering the hospital or

BAPTISM – Parents must attend a baptismal preparation class
before having their first child baptized.
CATHOLIC CONNECTION – For adult Catholics who have
been Baptized but not Confirmed, or who are Confirmed but
inactive or not fully practicing.
CONFIRMATION – Classes are required and begin in

2016 SPANISH SUMMER CAMP
June 13-17
St Jude Spanish teachers will offer Spanish Summer
Camp for rising Kindergarten through 5th Grade.
Grab your passport and your imagination! We are off
on a Hispanic countries adventure. Join us as we
travel and learn about other cultures. We will sample
food, learn new words in Spanish, and create
amazing artworks. June 13-17, 10am to 2pm. Cost is
$125/week with $25 discount per additional sibling.
Students in St. Jude Summer care will be picked up

GROUNDS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The St. Jude Church and School property is divided
into 25 parcels that can be adopted by volunteers for
mowing. We also have flower beds that can be
adopted. The mowing and gardening can be done
after school hours on weekdays or on Saturdays. No
grounds work is to be done on Sundays. We have
just a few mowing parcels and flower beds left for

ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD

We are looking for someone that would like to get
involved in a St. Jude ministry. There is currently a
need for a couple of Coordinators for the Family
Promise of Greater Chattanooga, a ministry held at
St. Jude Parish two weeks a year; one week during
Christmas and the other in the summer. For more

ST JUDE SCHOOL ENROLLMENT
St Jude School is currently accepting
applications for students planning to
enroll in grades PK3 - 8 for the coming,
2016-2017 school year. We would
welcome the opportunity to talk with
you in person, to provide you with a personal tour or
to schedule a visitation day. Class size is limited so
be sure to express your interest now! Testing for
Kindergarten placement will begin soon. If you are

Deacon Adam Royal will be ordained on June 4 at
the Cathedral in Knoxville. Need a ride? Sign up for
the Luxury Bus to Knoxville by calling St. Stephen

person. The bus will leave at 8:00 a.m. from St.
Stephen Catholic Church parking lot and will return
around 4:00 p.m.
WOMEN’S RETREAT
August 11-13

COMMUNITY LIFE
The Chattanooga Deanery Council of Catholic Women is
excited to announce a woman’s retreat based on The
Second Greatest Story Ever Told by Fr. Michael Gaitley. The
retreat will be moderated by Msgr Al Humbrecht, pastor
of Holy Spirit Church and recently appointed Missionary
of Mercy. It will be held at Bethany Retreat House in
Dickson, TN, managed by the Dominican Sisters of St.
Cecelia. The retreat will begin Thurs, Aug 11 at 5:00pm
CDT, and conclude Sat Aug 13 at 11:00am CDT. The cost
of $175 includes 2 nights, 5 meals and
materials. There is an option for only one
night lodging, meals and materials for
$115. This retreat is limited to 30
retreatants. A select number of rooms are
available with a private bath on first come,
first served basis. The remaining are
private rooms with dormitory style bathrooms. Contact

payment is not received by June 11, your spot will be

annual golf classic at Brown Acres Golf Course on

Catholic Charities’ Pregnancy Help Center offers
fetal development, baby care and parenting classes
that allow pregnant women and respective fathers to
earn diapers, food, and clothing, to car seats, cribs

and women who are willing to come in weekly to
walk this journey with our clients. Trained

SCHOLARSHIP FOR WORLD YOUTH DAY
The Diocesan Office of Youth & Young Adult
Ministry is attempting to raise money to send two
young adults on pilgrimage to Kraków, Poland for
World Youth Day 2016. They have been an integral
part of youth ministry and without a scholarship
have no possibility of having such a life changing
experience. If we raise the money to send these two
young adults we will then meet the minimum
requirement to receive a free spot which will offer to
a seminarian to serve as a spiritual guide to our WYD

am-12:30 pm for rising PreK 4 through rising 5th graders in

Confesiones: Todos los miércoles a las 6pm o
Sábados a las 4pm, o por cita previa. Por favor noten que
no todos sábados o miércoles hay confesiones en
español. Hablen con las oficinas o con el Padre antes
para asegurar que padre estará confesando si necesita
que sea en español.
Primera Comunión: La primera comunión se
hace en el segundo grado y requiere dos
años se preparación. Por favor apunten a sus
hijos para las clases en el primer grado.
Clases son todos los miércoles entre
septiembre y marzo a las 6.30pm
Catecismo: Se reunen todos los
miercoles en a las 6:30pm. Para

Confirmaciones:
Este año la edad de confirmación
se baja al 5 grado. Todos los que
estén en los grados de 6 o más
deben preparse para recibir su
confirmación este próximo año
en enero. Por favor contacten a

información sobre las clases.. Todos tienen que
haber recibido los sacramentos del bautismo y la
primera comunión para poder preparar para la
confirmación. La familia debe estar registrada en la
iglesia de San Judas.
ORACIONES
Si usted tiene una necesidad de oración
pueden escribirla en el libro de la capilla y
diariamente se ofrecen rosarios para esas
intenciones y las intenciones para misa del sabado
dirigirse a Samira Gutierrez.
Tiene un enfermo en el hospital? O en la familia?
Necesita que oren por el o Ella? Necesitan servicio
de comunion? Por favor comuniquese con Samira o
con sr Alberto para enviar a un ministro o a un
sacerdote segun lo necesite. Mandar un mensaje a

Este grupo se reune
cada dos Domingos
despues de la misa
de la 5.30pm en la habitacion de los
jovenes(ariba del gimnacio),. El grupo es
para formar lideres que luego ayudan con
los retiros y otras actividades juveniles. Esto
se hace atravez de noches de juego y
diversion. ¡Vengan y unanse a nostoros
seguro que volveras! Se proporciona bebidas
