Katherine: This is a big book, full of history, betrayal, power, genius, and of course love. Almost
500 pages of small print, you can imagine the detail and research that went into a story about
PC's. Yep, the nerds that gave us the home computer. SEP, out did herself with this story. It's
not your everday romance novel. It's business at it's finest and dirtiest. Running to the finish only
to get there and have to think of the next new and better design. The product ever changing,
and people ever changing. I couldn't put this one down.

Sólo quiero agregar, que como esta idea de compartir mis lecturas, es una especie de guía
para saber qué cosas pueden encontrar en un libro, hay algo que puede ser significativo:
La primera parte de esta historia no me tenía tan entusiasmada. Había algo en Sam que no me
gustaba y entonces, no encontraba tanto estímulo para perseguir el futuro de esta pareja.
Sin embargo, cuando me estancaba en la lectura, aparecía el corazón de Susannah, sus
sueños y sus sentimientos que me emocionaban profundamente.
Porque a los personajes de SEP se los quiere y entonces, se los acompaña hasta el final.
Hasta que llegó la segunda parte del libro y comprendí porqué no me entusiasmaba tanto el
primer tramo (que igual es lindo), no les voy a decir ni qué pasa, ni qué fue lo que encontré en
esa nueva etapa llamada "La misión", porque les adelantaría parte de la historia que deben
descubrir, pero lo que sí sucedió es que encontré lo que había estado soñando para Susannah
desde que comenzó el libro.
Y a partir de ahí la lectura no tuvo pausa. Amé cada capítulo y cada momento en la vida de
estos personajes que cuentan la historia más linda de todas: la de un gran sueño.

penelopewanders: I was expecting some contemporary lightness, and SEP usually fits the bill,
so I was a bit surprised by the slightly heavy mood to this one. As I was expecting humor and
fluff it took me a bit to get into the intrigue, but I did end up quite caught up in the story. On the
one hand it's all about the beginnings of personal computers with empassioned nerds working in
their garages, and at the same time it's about a woman who is trying to free herself from her
past and rigid need to please. It was well-done and the power struggles in the couple and for
the woman trying to find her place in the business world were quite convincing. Good read... but
not the laughs I was hoping for!

bocazas en Tenías que ser tú. Lo que l. a. hace especial es que sabe combinar los angeles
comedia con l. a. ternura, sus protagonistas femeninas desarman por su temperamento
generoso, frágil y batallador. Hasta las más borde se hace querer, véase Suggar Beth en Ella
es tan dulce. Todo lo que había leído de esta autora, que admiro incondicionalmente, me había
gustado y creí que podría reconocer una de sus historias antes de terminar el primer capítulo,
pero después de leer ¡Campeona!, me he llevado una sorpresa porque SEP ha dado una vuelta
de tuerca a l. a. novela romántica con una trama mucho más compleja que se aleja de los
patrones habituales.Muy, muy, muy recomendable.

romántica. Como cube l. a. autora en una nota al ultimate del libro... es un libro basado en
hechos reales pero con personajes ficticios.La historia cuenta como un grupo de chicos
jóvenes, muchos de ellos ni siquiera habían terminado sus estudios universitarios querían
cambiar el mundo... eran visionarios que veían un futuro cercano con ordenadores personales,
los cuales cualquier personality podrían tenerlos en su casa como si fueran un
electrodoméstico, hasta ese momento los ordenadores eran aparatos monstruosos que
ocupaban habitaciones enteras y que solo tenían uno el gobierno o las grandes empresas.
Estos chicos eran frikis que vivían rodeados de circuitos y placas bases... que utilizaban los
garajes de casa de sus padres como laboratorios. A finales de los años 70 y principios de los
eighty los angeles industria de l. a. informática tuvo lugar una revolución... en los angeles vida
actual los fundadores de Apple y Microsoft pusieron en marcha sus prototipos. En este libro fue

personaje que más me ha gustado es Susannah, es l. a. protagonista absoluta de los angeles
historia y también los angeles que más evoluciono en el transcurso de los angeles historia.Por
último quiero críticar un poco a l. a. editorial... tanto el título como l. a. portada del libro son
horribles. Si no hubiera sido porque l. a. autora ya l. a. conocía y todos los libros que he leído
de ella me han gustado no me hubiera ocurrido leerme un libro con este título tan poco
estimulante.
