PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM FOR SPECTRALLY RESOLVED SOLAR LIGHT
Nº publicación US2016056756A1 25/02/2016
UNIV KING FAHD PET & MINERALS [SA]
Solicitantes
A photovoltaic system is described that improves solar energy absorption efficiency by resolving light into constituent colors
Resumen
using dispersive optics. The system reduces a blurring effect of a light beam while ensuring that the system's bulkiness is not
increased. The photovoltaic system disperses a focused light beam into constituent colors (spectrum) and provisions for sufficient
expansion of the light beam. The photovoltaic system re-focuses the dispersed light beam that results in a reduction of the beam
size, while the beam is being exposed to photovoltaic cells that convert the incident light energy into electrical energy.

light absorption layer in a solar cell, comprising the steps of: forming

irradiating light on the thin film, wherein the chalcopyrite compound
precursor absorbs light energy and thereby advances crystallization.

and then irradiating light belonging to a short wavelength range,
which does not penetrate deeply into the thin film.

The present invention provides a thermal radiation light source that
Resumen
enables light having desired peak wavelengths to easily be obtained
due to a wider selection of materials than in the past. The thermal
radiation light source (10) is provided with a thermo-optical converter
having an optical structure wherein a refractive index distribution is
formed in a member (11) comprising an intrinsic semiconductor in
such a manner as to resonates with light having a shorter wavelength
than the wavelength corresponding to the band gap of the intrinsic
semiconductor. When heat is supplied to the thermo-optical converter
from outside, light having a spectrum in a wavelength band that is
shorter than a cutoff wavelength is emitted due to interband absorption
in the intrinsic semiconductor, and light of a resonant wavelength
([lambda]r) within the abovementioned wavelength band that
resonates in the optical structure is selectively intensified, and emitted
as thermal radiation light. Since a wide selection of materials is used
for the intrinsic semiconductor in the present invention, a thermal
radiation light source, which produces light in a narrow band having a
desired peak wavelength, can easily be obtained.

energy system comprises a number of solar strings, each solar string
including a solar panel(s) as a renewable energy source and an
inverter. The inverter energy system is connected to a mains power
supply (grid) and to a site load (sub circuits). The forward or reverse
