Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and Children
The RCIA or Catechumenate is a process of initiation into the
Catholic Community of Faith for persons who are experiencing a
conversion in their lives and seeking either Christian baptism in
the Catholic Church or full Communion with the Catholic tradition
of Eucharist and Confirmation. It is a process which enables the
study of the Gospels, Catholic Christian teaching, values and morals, the development and deepening of prayer and action with the
support and involvement of the community. It’s more than a
course of instruction. It’s a process of conversion, designed to
meet the unique and individual needs of the participant. Who is
the RCIA for?
• Non-Catholics wanting to find out more about the Catholic faith.
• Those wanting to join the Catholic Church through
Baptism
or Profession of faith
• Those baptized Catholic as infants but have not been instructed in their faith or completed their Sacraments.
Please join us Tuesday night, October 6th, and try a session. We
meet in St. Michael Hall at 7 pm.
Catholics Come Home Open House
on Tuesday, October 20th
Inspired by the message of Pope Francis on
his visit to the USA, consider coming home
to your Catholic Faith. We promise a safe
environment to come home to your
Catholic Faith and return to the Sacraments.
Join us at 7pm on Tuesday, October 20th
and explore the possibilities. Whatever the
reason you left, we await your return!
Come on the 20th to St. Michael Hall
(building behind the Church) or contact
Janet Hassan, Pastoral Associate, at 595-0385 ext. 110 or
[email protected] to talk about this process.
Bulletin notices and advertising: All information must be sent to the parish office no later than 8AM on Mondays. Please use e-mail if at all
possible and send to: [email protected]. If you would like to advertise on the back of the bulletin, please call J.S. Paluch at 1-800-524-0263.

Why Catholic Education
Young people of the third millennium must be a source of energy and leadership in our Church and our nation.
Therefore, we must provide young people with an academically rigorous and doctrinally sound program of
education and faith formation designed to strengthen their union with Christ and his Church. Catholic schools
collaborate with parents and guardians in raising and forming their children as families struggle with the
changing and challenging cultural and moral contexts in which they find themselves. Catholic schools provide
young people with sound Church teaching through a broad-based curriculum, where faith and culture are
intertwined in all areas of a school's life. By equipping our young people with a sound education, rooted in the
Gospel message, the Person of Jesus Christ, and rich in the cherished traditions and liturgical practices of our
faith, we ensure that they have the foundation to live morally and uprightly in our complex modern world. This
unique Catholic identity makes our Catholic elementary and secondary schools "Schools for the human
person" and allows them to fill a critical role in the future life of our Church, our country, and our world (Catholic
Schools on the Threshold, no.9)

Colecta Anual Diocesana 2015:
Has completado tus sacramentos de Iniciación Cristiana,
y Quieres ayudar en algún Ministerio bien sea Litúrgico
o Pastoral.
