We light your world™
Fluorescent lighting has long been the
benchmark for delivering reliable and
efficient lighting in commercial office
spaces. Now the same benefits translate
to distribution centers, warehouses,
industrial manufacturing facilities and
retail spaces.
Las luminarias fluorescentes han sido
el punto de referencia cuando se busca
iluminación de oficinas comerciales
confiables y eficientes. Ahora estos
mismos beneficios se transfieren a centros
de distribución, bodegas, fábricas y puntos
de venta.
System benefits:
• Increased energy savings - less than half
the energy usage
• Equivalent light output with maintained light
levels - 95% lumen retention against 65%
for metal halide
• Longer lamp life - over 1.5 times the lamp
life, translates into lower maintenance costs
• Crisper cleaner light - color rendering 85
CRI against 65 CRI for metal halide
Other benefits include:
• Instant on-off
• Improved light distribution and uniformity

The Fluorescent Advantage
There are a lot of outdated fluorescent or
high intensity discharge lighting systems that
need to be upgraded to newer technologies
that are more efficient and environmentally
friendly.
High
performance
fluorescent
fixtures from Americanlite® utilize the latest
technology to provide a superior performance
and impressive energy savings over current
lighting systems.
Ventajas de tecnología fluorescente
Existen muchos sistemas de iluminación
que usan tecnología fluorescente obsoleta
o sistemas de alta intensidad de descarga,
estos sistemas necesitan ser mejorados con
nuevas tecnologías que son más eficientes y
ecológicamente sanos. Las luminarias de alto
desempeño Americanlite® utilizan la última
tecnología para proporcionar un desempeño
superior y un impresionante ahorro de energía
comparado con los sistemas de iluminación
actuales.

Lamp Life and Lumen Maintenance
T5 and T8 fluorescent systems provide 1.5
times the lamp life over magnetic HID lighting
systems and provide much better maintained
light levels, 95% lumen retention vs 65%
for metal halide. Multiple lamped fluorescent
luminaires reduce the need for immediate
maintenance, with Americanlite fluorescent
systems when individual lamps extinguish, the
other lamps will stay illuminated, make it safer
for the working site.

sostenido
Los sistemas fluorescentes con tubos T5 y T8
proveen 1.5 veces de vida útil sobre sistemas
de alta intensidad de descarga y ofrece mejor
sostenimiento de flujo luminoso, 95% contra 65%
de lámparas HID. El uso de múltiples tubos en una
luminaria reduce la necesidad de mantenimiento
inmediata,
con
los
sistemas
fluorescentes
Americanlite®, cuando una lámpara se extingue,
el resto de las lámparas permanecen iluminadas,
haciendo el área de trabajo más segura.

Improved quality of light
Enhanced color, 85 CRI compared to 65 CRI
from HID lamps, improved vertical illumination,
reduced shadows and improved uniformity.
uniformidad.
Instant On/Off and occupancy sensors
Fluorescent systems provide immediate
illumination after power dip or power failure,
and eliminate downtime associated with
fixture warm up. Immediate re-start and
re-strike. To
maximize energy savings,
Americanlite® fluorescent systems can be
used with occupancy sensors to provide
instant on/off capabilities.
Sensores instantáneos de ocupación On/Off
Los sistemas fluorescentes proveen iluminación
instantánea cuando hay fallas en la alimentación
de poder, elimina tiempos relacionados con el
calentamiento de la luminaria. Re-start y re-strike
inmediato. Para maximizar el ahorro de energía,
el sistema fluorescente Americanlite® puede ser
usado con sensores que desconecta las luces
cuando la zona queda desocupada.
Environmentally Friendly
Americanlite® fluorescent luminaires are
environmentally friendly. The use of low
mercury fluorescent lamps offers an
attractive alternative to HID systems.
A low mercury T5HO fluorescent lamp
can contain as little as 1.4Mg of mercury
compared with up to 70Mg for a 400
watt metal halide lamp.

Visible light and the scotopic/photopic
(S/P) Ratio
Recent research has discovered that the lumen
alone may not be the best way to show how the
eye perceives the power of light. Our eyes use
both rods and cones to see light, rods are more
sensitive to blue light (scotopic vision) and cones
to yellow light (photopic vision). The present use
of the lumen is based on the assumption that the
cones in the eye are the chief light perceivers,
this research shows that the human eye relies
more than previously believed on its rods, the
light that stimulates the rods in the eye is known
as a Pupil lumen. Scotopic/photropic ratios have
been developed that attempt to replicate a
measurement system more akin to how our eyes
perceive brightness.
medición acorde a cómo nuestros ojos perciben
el brillo (ver tabla).
