Dear friends:
Welcome to the 12th edition of the TEAM live course. The Board of Directors wishes to express their gratitude for
your presence and continuous support to this Course, which was born as a forum for discussion and clarification of
concepts in the exciting World of Endovascular and Myocardial Therapy. Technical advances and new therapeutic
strategies have been the principal and differential characteristic in Endovascular Therapy in the last years. However,
we should realize that these rapidly evolving technologies and strategies could not prevail over the main purpose
of medical advances: to improve the welfare of patients applying the most adequate treatments and prevention
measures.
The TEAM Course is designed to meet the needs of all medical professionals with interests in cardiovascular diseases.
Like in previous editions the TEAM 2014 will focus on very hot topics: Percutaneous treatment of valvular diseases
with transcatheter implantation of aortic bioprosthesis, percutaneous management of complex coronary patients,
(left main disease, multivessel disease, bifurcations, chronic total occlusions), harmonization of pharmacologic and
mechanical reperfusion in patients with acute myocardial infarction and percutaneous obliteration of the left atrial
appendix in patients with atrial fibrillation. Clinical results of latest scientific studies about drug eluting stents including
bioreabsorbable scaffolds and future perspectives will also be dealt in depth. Live cases of Transcatheter Renal
Denervation will be also transmitted.
We are very grateful to our international and national guest faculty for their effort to transmit their personal experience

In the current edition of the TEAM course live cases will be transmitted from University Hospital in Bonn, Germany, San

GENERAL COURSE CONTENT
1) Workshop of Interventional Cardiology for Young Cardiologist
Workshop directed by Drs. Diaz and Hernández de la Torre offers a theoretical & practical overview on the basics,
techniques, tools, and relevant topics of interventional cardiology in a practical format.
2) Symposia
They aim to offer an updated theoretical content in large clinical and endovascular areas. Each symposium will run
for 1 hour and 30 minutes, and there will be a total of 7 Symposia.
3) Lectures and Debates
Given by key opinion leaders who will offer a new update from a large experience and a deep personal reflection
of the lecturer.
4) Clinical and Case Review Sessions
They have a predominant clinical content of daily practice, with presentation and discussion of real clinical cases with
different challenges in diagnostic and interpretation, therapeutic strategies, resolution of complications and clinical
outcomes.
5) Live cases
They will be performed, transmitted and discussed in parallel with the rest of scientific activities. They will be the
mirror of different schools of interventional cardiology. The audience will have the opportunity to appreciate the most
adequate strategy along with the use of the most updated technology.
6) Simulators
Attendees will have the opportunity to improve their skills in endovascular intervention techniques through practical
sessions with simulators equipped with the most advanced applications and techniques in interventional cardiology.
