Week at a Glance
We plan financially to go on
vacation, we plan financially for the
education of our children, we make
financial plans for our retirement; do
we plan financially to support God’s
work in our parish community? In
gratitude for the gifts we receive from
God, 28% of our registered families
and those visiting made a joyful
return to the Lord to assist in the
support of God’s work in our parish
community. Let’s increase this
participation to 100%.
New Members: We are
delighted to have you join our
parish family! Registration forms are
available in the narthex and in the
parish office. They can be mailed,
turned into the parish office, or dropped
in the collection basket. Come by the
church office for a Welcome Packet.

As individual leaf colors blend to make a
statement of awesome beauty, the Holy Spirit
gives us different talents so we may blend as
one to better serve Him. Our talents are not
ours; we are mere channels for using them to
serve others as His stewards and for making
Him visible. You are needed as a steward to
give your talents and time to our biggest Burn
the Mortgage Fundraiser and social event of
the year, the Mardi Gras Ball. There is
something everyone can do to serve. It is
Saturday, February 6, at the Community
Center in Winder. For more information,
contact Shelia at 770-962-0520 or
Lynn at 404-226-6225.

SVDP has been active at St Matthew for over 15
years. We have been blessed with having Fred and
Virginia who are still active in Saint Vincent de
Paul. They have over 50 years in this ministry in the
Archdiocese of Atlanta. They are a great inspiration
and pillars of the community. We are in need of more disciples to
help. Our next meeting is Thursday Nov. 12th at 7:00PM in Hedges
hall. Our hot line number is 770-868-5100. Thanks for all your help.
