I truly believe that everything that we do and everyone
that we meet is put in our path for a purpose. There are
no accidents; we're all teachers - if we're willing to pay
attention to the lessons we learn, trust our positive instincts and not be afraid to take risks or wait for some
miracle to come knocking at our door.—Marla Gibbs

A Note from Fr. Manny
Dear St Francis Family,
There is an idiom that says "There's no
place like home". It is the place where we feel
the sense of belonging, acceptance and being
understood. It is a place where inner joy from
the fellowship among brothers and sisters are
experienced and felt which serves as a strong foundation for
everyone to live as a Christian. We must be blessed if we
are living in a home and not only in the house.
Jesus in the gospel this weekend is challenging us to
look into ourselves if we live as a significant member of
the family at home where one feels the love, the acceptance, the care and protection. Jesus experienced all
these from His father, who sent Him into this world.
Through St Joseph and Mary, He learned to live with
love, care and gentle protection.
It's really wonderful to feel secured, loved and accepted among our family circle, but in case we feel the contrary, let us turn to Jesus who Himself experienced the
rejection of His hometown in Nazareth where He spent
His boyhood and youth.
May St Francis help us build a home for everyone where
love, care, respect and understanding are lived and shared
first among family and relatives and then to the community.
Yours in the ministry,
Fr Manny.
Padre Manny
