M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. aconseja que la limpieza de los grifos sea realizada con un paño húmedo,
NORMAS DE INSTALACIÓN,
CONSERVACIÓN Y GARANTÍA
aún cuando los acabados son sumamente duraderos, la limpieza con productos abrasivos y/o
corrosivos produce graves daños en los mismos.
M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. garantiza todos sus productos contra cualquier defecto de fabricación.
Esta garantía está limitada a cinco años para cualquier defecto mecánico de fabricación y para
los defectos de fabricación en los acabados cromo, blanco, oro, níquel satinado, cromo satinado,
bronce viejo y forja. Para el resto de los acabados la garantía contra cualquier defecto de fabricación
está limitada a dos años. Cartuchos termostáticos, garantía dos años.
M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. aconseja conservar este folleto para solicitar posibles repuestos. Asimismo,
aconseja anotar los códigos que aparecen en la etiqueta de la caja para posibles reclamaciones.
M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. quedará exonerada de la garantía si el material defectuoso es manipulado
o reparado por terceros sin su consentimiento. La garantía no comprende las piezas que se
deterioren por el uso normal, el transporte del material para su reparación en los almacenes de
M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. ni el transporte de las nuevas piezas que hayan de ser enviadas al coprador
para sustituir al material defectuso. Las nuevas piezas tendrán asimismo una garantía de un año
en las condiciones anteriormente expresadas.

M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. recommends cleaning the taps with a damp cloth; even though the finishes
are extremely long-lasting, cleaning with abrasive and/or corrosive products produces serious
damage to them.
M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. guarantees all its products against any manufacturing defect. This guarantee
is limited to five years for any mechanical manufacturing defect and for manufacturing defects in
chrome, white, pvd gold, satin nickel, old brass, satin chrome and dark brass finishes. For the
rest of the finishes, the guarantee against any manufacturing defect is limited to two years.
Thermostatic cartridges, two years guarantee.
M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. recommends keeping this brochure as a future reference for replacement
parts. Also, please make a record of the information on the box label to assist in possible
reclamations.
M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. shall be exempted from the guarantee if the faulty material is manipulated
or repaired by third parties without its consent. The guarantee does not include deteriorated parts
due to notmal use, the transportation of the material for repair at M.Z. DEL RIO, S.A. warehouses
nor the transportation of the new parts that have to be sent to the purchaser to replace the faulty
material. The new parts shall also have a one-year guarantee under the conditions expressed
above.
M.Z. DEL RÍO, S.A. undertakes to send any spare part required for the correct operation of its
taps. These spare parts can be requested from your normal establishment or directly from M.Z.
DEL RÍO.

IMPORTANTE: Todas las válvulas termostáticas están
reguladas en laboratorio con una presión igual a 3 bar
(equivalente a 0,3 Mpa).
El comportamiento óptimo del mezclador termostático
depende de la calidad en temperatura y presión del agua fría
y caliente.

2) INSTALACIÓN
Preparar la instalación de tomas de agua, de acuerdo con
el esquema elegido (ver pág.4). Tener en cuenta las medidas
de cada elemento y su posición. Para la posición en altura,
tener en cuenta la tabla con alturas sugeridas según la talla
del usuario (ver pág.4)

IMPORTANT: every thermostatic valve has been adjusted in
the laboratory with a pressure of 3 bar (equivalent to 0.3
Mpa).
N.B.: the best performance of a thermostatic mixer is reached
when cold and hot water pressure are balanced.
2) INSTALLATION
Make the pipes installation according to the chosen kit. Take
into account the different elements sizes and its position. For
the heigh position, take into account the recommended table
(pag.4) according to the customer height.
2.1.
IMPORTANT
DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE CARTRIDGE
UNDER ANY REASON. IT WILL CAUSE
WARRANTY INVALIDITY.
If you need to solder inlet and outlet water fittings, proceed
accordign to next indications:
- Solder fittings before install the valves.
- It is not needed to disassemble the cartridges.
- Solder with tin-silver.
- Cool cartridge zone with a damp cloth when you solder.

5) PROBLEMAS Y SOLUCIONES
- Si el mezclador termostático no regula correctamente la
temperatura:
Hacer salir el agua caliente como la fría, hacer girar la maneta
de regulación de la temperatura varias veces hasta que la
temperatura sea constante.
- Si no sale agua caliente ni fría:
Verificar que las tuberías o filtros puestos en el cuerpo estén
libres de obstrucción (impurezas) y que las presiones sean
equilibradas.

there are no remains of materials on the inside of the
tubes, which might damage the ceramic seals of the taps.
We advise you to let the water run fon 1 0r 2 minutes, in
order to eliminate possible remains, before proceeding
to install your tap.
M.Z. DEL RIO, S.A. advises your taps to be installed
or repaired by a professional plumber and in any case to
carry out the installation according to the directions
established in the installation instructions.

5) PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
- If the thermostatic mixer just installed has an incorrect water
temperature:
This happens because, during the period from the tests in our
laboratory and the installation in your system, the wax inside
the cartridge become hard. Exposing the tap to sudden
changes of temperature (turning the handle to cold an then to
hot water) repeat the operation a few times and the mixer will
work correctly again.
- If the thermostatic mixer does not give hot ot cold water:

Verify that the pipes or the litters on the body are free from
obstruction and that hot cold water pressures are balanced.
Verificar que las condiciones de instalación sean las indicadas
en el apartado 1-DATOS TÉCNICOS.
- If the thermostatic mixer does not give the right temperature
at 38º C:
Si las condiciones arriba indicadas son correctas, regular el
cartucho termostático como está indicado en el apartado
3-REGULACIÓN VÁLVULA TERMOSTÁTICA.
Verify that the water system conditions are those said in part
1-TECHNICAL DATA. If they "are correct" reset the thermostatic
cartridge as part 3-THERMOSTATIC VALVE REGULATION.
- Si maniobrar la válvula termostática resulta duro: Hacer salir
agua, maniobrar más de una vez la válvula hasta que la
maniobra no cueste (Sea blanda).
- If the thermostatic valve handle is hard to turn: Let the water
flow and turn temperature handle to cold and hot water. Repeat
the operation a few times until the handle become smoother.

4) MANTENIMIENTO
Si pasado el tiempo, la temperatura no es la correcta, puede
ser necesario limpiar el cartucho termostático o los filtros, para
ello, en primer lugar cortar el paso de agua general y proceder
según se indica a continuación:
4.1 VÁLVULA TERMOSTÁTICA
Para extraer el cartucho termostático, primero desmontar las
manetas según el punto 2.1..
Importante: Antes de quitar la tuerca encajada en el cartucho
(A), memorizar o marcar la posición, ya que una vez realizado
el mantenimiento deberá colocarse en la misma posición (Ver
dibujo).
Retirar la tuerca (A), a continuación, desenroscar el cartucho
con una llave fija (llave nº36).
2.2. Make the connection to the pipes of the build in
wall body (G) taken into account the recommended built in
wall tolerance. Keep the protection provided after finishing
all brick work to avoid damages.
Si usted necesita soldar racores de entrada y salida de agua,
proceda de acuerdo con las siguientes indicaciones:
4) MAINTENANCE
If times goes by and water temperature is not correct,
thermostatic cartridge or filters should be cleaned. First of all,
cut off main water pipe and proceed according to next
information:
4.1 THERMOSTATIC VALVE
To extract the thermostatic cartridge, first to all, disassemble
handles according to point 2..1..
Important: Before take out the nut (A) placed in the cartridge,
memorize or note the position, since once you have cleaned
the thermostatic cartridge, this nut must be replaced in the
same position.
Take out the nut (A), then, unscrew the thermostatic cartridge
with a n°36 wrench.
- Realizar la soldadura antes de su colocación en la pared.
- No es necesario desmontar el cartucho.
- Soldar con estaño-plata.
- Enfriar la zona del cartucho con un paño húmedo cada vez
que se suelde.

2.2. Colocar el cuerpo (G) empotrado teniendo en cuenta
las tolerancias de "empotrado" indicadas, realice la conexión
de las tuberías. Coloque la protección de plástico suministrada
y tenga la precaución de no quitarla mientras no haya
terminado la instalación con el fin de evitar posibles defectos
en la manipulación.
2.3. Una vez hayan terminado los trabajos de albañilería,
para poder colocar el plafón, desmonte los pomos de las
manetas según el dibujo:

Introducir el cartucho en vinagre (no utilizar detergentes ni
ácidos), hasta que quede limpio de cal.
Efectuar la operación al revés para volver a colocar el cartucho
y la maneta. Tener en cuenta la posición de la tuerca (A). Una
vez montado, controlar la temperatura de salida del agua a
38°C, si no fuera la adecuada, revisar la colocación de la tuerca
negra (A) y seguir las indicaciones del punto 3.
4.2 RALLOS DUCHA Y MANGOS DUCHA ANTICAL
Introduce the thermostatic cartridge in vinegar (do not use
detergents or acids).Execute the same operation backwards
to reassemble the thermostatic cartridge and handle.
Take care about the nut (A) position. Once assembled, check
the 38º water outlet, if it is not correct, check the position of
the black nut (A) and go to paragraph nº 3.
4.2 SHOWER HEAD AND SHOWER HANDLE
Shower head and shower handle have to be cleaned frequently,
press the rubber nipples to avoid lime obstructions.

If water temperature is not 38°C (100°F) at the indicated
position, proceed as follow:

referencia indicada en el plafón, proceder a su regulación
según se indica a continuación.
1. Open the water turning the handle and check the
temperature with a normal medical thermometer.

termómetro médico normal.
2. Girar la maneta (D) con el pulsador de seguridad apretado
hasta que el termómetro indique una temperatura de 38°C.
3. Sin girar más quitar las manetas C y D según el dibujo
