CURSILLO - The Cursillo Movement (English) of the Monterey
Diocese will be holding its annual Cursillo Weekends on the
following dates: The Men's Weekend will be held August 20-23,
2015 at Mission San Antonio near Jolon. For more information

September 17-20, 2015 at Camp St. Francis near La Selva

means short course. The Cursillo is a 3 day retreat "a short
course" in Christianity. It is a time to learn more about your

THANK YOU - 2015 AMA (ANNUAL MINISTRY APPEAL) DONORS
GRACIAS – PETICION ANNUAL DE MINISTERIOS (AMA)
Each year, we as parishioners of Sacred Heart and members of the Diocese of Monterey are asked to commit to our
practice of stewardship by pledging to the Annual Ministries Appeal (AMA). This appeal supports (just to name a
few) the formation of future deacons and priests, Faith Formation, Catholic Schools, Respect Life, Hispanic and
Migrant Ministry, and Youth Leadership Programs. For the second year in a row, we surpassed not only our diocesan
goal ($40,200), but also our parish goal ($72,000). $76,974 was pledged in this year’s appeal – and $57,454 has been
collected thus far. 12.06% of our parishioners participated compared to 11.3% in 2014. All monies received over our responsibility
to the diocese are returned to the parish and will be used for completing the façade of the parish hall and keeping our sanctuary and
our buildings beautiful and welcoming. Sacred Heart is blessed to have parishioners who prayerfully give to this mission. We

and we’ll make a correction in the next bulletin.
Cada año, nosotros como feligreses del Sagrado Corazón y miembros de la Diócesis de Monterey somos requeridos a practicar
nuestro compromiso de Corresponsabilidad apoyando a la Petición Anual de Ministerios (AMA). Este apoyo sostiene (solo por
nombrar algunos) la formación de futuros Diáconos y Sacerdotes, Catequesis, Escuelas Católicas, Respeto a la Vida, los Ministerios
Hispanos y Migrante, y programas de Liderazgo Juvenil. Por segundo año consecutivo hemos superado no solo la meta diocesana
($40,200), sino también nuestra meta parroquial ($72,000). $76,974 fueron las promesas en este ano para la apelación – y $57,454 se
han recaudado hasta el momento. Un 12.06% de nuestros feligreses participaron en comparación con el 11.3% del 2014. Todo el

(Bilingual Confessions):
Friday: 11:30-12:00 pm and 6:00 pm -7:30 pm.
BAPTISM (Children): Please come to the
Parish Office (with a copy of your child’s birth
certificate) to receive information about
preparation and scheduling.
MARRIAGE: Preparation should begin at least
6 months in advance. Please call the Parish
Office during office hours for an appointment
with the priest.
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK: First
Wednesday of each month at 12:15 pm, or by
appointment.
HOSPITALIZED/HOMEBOUND: Please
notify the Parish Office if you would like Holy
Communion.
