“The permanent quality of this church dedicated to St. Joseph reminds us that
Christ will remain with his People until mortal time ceases. It will be to this
church that parishioners will bring their lives filled with both joy and sorrows
and join them to Christ, who offers the perfect sacrifice to the Father. It will be
from this church that Grace of the Sacrament will radiate for the building-up of
the kingdom and for the sanctification of souls. It will be at this church where
people will find nourishment and strength, communion and peace, unity and
friendship.” John Cardinal O’Connor.

SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY
“The Human Person Becomes a Gift in
the Freedom of Love” Saint John Paul II
FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT
First Reading:
2 Chronicles 36:14-16, 19-23
The people of Judah practiced many
abominations, even polluting God’s
temple in Jerusalem. They mocked
the messengers he sent among
them, until he grew so angry he
delivered them to the King of the
Chaldeans. Those who weren’t killed
were exiled and became servants
for seventy years. Cyrus, King of
Persia, was ordered to build a
temple to God in Jerusalem, and he freed the servants as God had
inspired him to do.
Second Reading: Ephesians 2:4-10
Paul declares that God brought us to life in Jesus, though we had
been dead from our sins. He reminds us that it was not a reward
for our good service so no one should take credit. Instead, we
must remember that it was not our doing, but a sign of God’s
mercy and love for us.
Gospel: John 3:14-21
God so loved the world, he sent us his only Son so that all who
believed would have eternal life in him. The light came into the
world, but those who were wicked avoided it, for fear that their
evil deeds would be exposed. But those who believed were
unafraid of the light, where it would be clear that their deeds
were done in God.

MEMORARE TO SAINT JOSPEH
Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that
never was it known that anyone who implored your help and
sought your intercession were left unassisted.
Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your
protection. Despise not O Guardian of the Redeemer my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me.

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO SAINT JOSEPH
O dearest St. Joseph, I consecrate myself to your honor and give
myself to you, that you may always be my father, my protector
and my guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me a greater
purity of heart and fervent love of the interior life.
After your example may I do all my actions for the greater glory
of God, in union with the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. O Blessed St. Joseph, pray for me, that I may
share in the peace and joy of your holy death. Amen.
Our Holy Father, Pope Francis, has constantly reminded us that the
greatest virtue is mercy. All other virtues surround it.
St. Paul told the Ephesians, and us, that because of mercy, we
have salvation in Christ Jesus. This comes to us through grace,
which is the life of God, given as a gift, not earned, but accepted.
How often we take this gift for granted. How rarely do we recognize the gift of God’s grace in others. How rapidly we gloss over
the inspired words which Paul included in his letter, words like
‘brought to life’, immeasurable riches, His kindness.
Reflecting upon The Word will strengthen us to continue our
Lenten journey, for it is in completion of the paschal mystery
where we place our hope.

CUARTO DOMINGO DE CUARESMA
Primera Lectura:

MEMORARE A SAN JOSE
No deseches mi ardiente
¡San José, llévanos a nuestro hogar, dirige nuestros corazones
