May 17, 2015 - St. Thomas More Catholic Church and School

ST. THOMAS MORE CHURCH
HOUSTON, TEXAS
Fr. Hai’s Corner
Today's spiritual message is found in the Gospel Reading
that we oen referred as the ‘Great Commission’. When
Jesus appeared to the eleven, He said to them, "Go into
all the world and proclaim the Good News to the whole
crea%on. The one who believes and is bap%zed will be
saved: but the one who does not believe will be condemned." In other words, those who do not believe and
refuse the Sacrament of Bap%sm will be condemned. It is
absolutely necessary that one be bap%zed of water and
Spirit in order to enter the Kingdom of God. For two thousand years, the Catholic Church has proclaimed the Good
News to the whole crea%on, genera%on aer genera%on.
For two thousand years, the Ascension of the Lord has
been commemorated in thoughts, in words and in ac%ons. May each one of us con%nue to be a greater part in
living the ‘Great Commission of Jesus.’

All ministries and organizations that use parish facilities for
their meetings need to make their requests for the upcoming year...either the new school year, 2015-2016 or for the

to the internet, you can call the office for a copy. Remember, a request is simply that: a request. We will do our

ST. THOMAS MORE CHURCH
