D.O.P.s
Direct Object Pronouns
Why are we learning this? Using D.O.P.s will let you write shorter (and different types of) sentences
in Spanish.
What is a Direct Object? Direct objects (D.O.s) answer the question who? or what? in relation to what
the subject of the sentence is doing. The direct object pronoun (D.O.P.) takes the place of a direct object, so
you can produce a shorter, simpler sentence.
Yo lo necesito = I need it.
Yo te quiero = I love you.
No los quiero = I don’t want them.
La estudias todos los días? = Do you study it every day?
