Baptisms Under 5 Years of Age: Parents are
required to attend one baptismal preparation class
prior to scheduling the baptism. This class is held on
the last Sunday of every month at 6:30 p.m.
Registration is not required. Contact the church
office to schedule the baptism. We do not have
Baptisms on Sundays, although exceptions can be
made. Contact Rick Dick, Director of Religious
Education (770-469-0597) for baptisms in other
age groups. English baptisms are celebrated the first
and third Saturday of each month at 10 a.m.
children and their parent(s) must attend special sessions to prepare them for these sacraments. A child
normally receives his/her First Reconciliation and
First Communion in the second grade. For further
information contact our Office of Religious Education.
First Reconciliation/Communion: The
Archdiocese of Atlanta requires two successive
years of religious education in a Parish School of
Religion or a Catholic School. In their second year,
Anointing of the Sick: Parishioners must notify the
Pastoral Care or Church Office to receive a communion
visitation, an in-home or hospital anointing by a priest
or to be placed on the prayer list in the bulletin.
Rite of Confirmation: The Archdiocese requires three
successive years of religious education in a Parish
School of Religion or a Catholic School. In their third
year of preparation, candidates must attend six special
retreat sessions preparing them for this sacrament: a
weekend, peer retreat; and two half-day retreats with
Marriage in English or Spanish: This sacrament
their sponsor. The Rite of Confirmation normally
requires a marriage preparation program (generally takes place in this Archdiocese during the candidate’s
five to six months in length), as well as other

The Anointing of the Sick will take place on Friday,
December 4th at 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. during
that day’s Masses. This sacrament comforts the sick in
their time of anxiety, encourages them to fight illness
and may restore them to good health. All who are sick,
elderly or anticipating surgery are encouraged to receive this special sign of God’s healing.
Please bring your children and join us for our annual
Breakfast with Santa, on Saturday, December 5th in the
gym. Tickets are $5 each. In addition to a pancake breakfast with all the fixins, we will be featuring story time
with St. Nicholas, face painting, a magic show, cupcake
walk and of course, a special visit with Santa Claus. This
event is sponsored by the Corpus Christi Women’s Guild.

and catechumens who are preparing to be received into the
Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil in March. We are looking

St. Vincent de Paul is distributing Thanksgiving food baskets to needy families
in our area THIS WEEKEND! If you can spare about 15 minutes of driving, we
need your help. VOLUNTEERS are needed to help deliver all the food baskets.
Please come to the gym after the 8 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Masses. Please help us
continue to help others. Happy Thanksgiving!
The Marist School will host an Open House

The Monastery of the Holy Spirit will be hosting its annual holiday gift sale here at Corpus Christi on
Sunday, December 13th from 8 a.m. to 3p.m. It is the goal of those in monastic life to make all actions and
thoughts an expression of God’s will, where work itself becomes a form of prayer. It is in this spirit that the
monks produce and offer their handmade food items to you and your loved ones this holiday season. The monk’s monastic labor at making fruitcake, fudge and biscotti is an important part of their
life. It helps provide them with the financial means to support themselves. At times of celebration,
the monks hope you will find their quality handmade food products useful in expressing your love
and thoughtfulness to loved ones in your life.
