Notice is hereby given that the polling locations listed below will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., on
November 3, 20 [5, for voting in a special election to adopt or reject the proposed Constitutional Amendments as
submitted by the 84 0' Legislature, Regular Session, of the State of Texas and voting to adopt or reject the creation
of the Anson Hospital District and the levy of annual property taxes for hospital purpose at a rate not to exceed 40
cents on each $100 valuation of all taxable property in the district.
Aviso por es/e medio es dado que los lugares de vo/acion a continuacion sera abier/os de 7:00 a /9:00, el03 de
noviembre de 20/5, para volar en una eleccion especial para aprobar 0 rechazar las enmiendas constitucionales
presentadas por la legisla/ura de 84, periodo ordinario de sesiones, del estado de Texas y la votacion para
aprobar 0 rechazar la creacion del dis/rito de Hospital de Anson y la imposicion de impuestos sobre la propiedad
anuales para proposito de hospital a una /asa no debe exceder 40 centavos por cada $/00 de Avahio de la
propiedad imponible todas en el distrito.

Early Voting by personal appearance will be conducted each weekday at the Jones County Clerk's Office between
the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning October 19,2015 and ending on October 30, 2015. Extended hours of
Early Voting will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 and the following Tuesday, October 27, 2015 with the hours
of operation on those two Tuesday being from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m .. The Jones County Clerks Office is located at 100
Courthouse Square; 1 floor, Anson, Texas 79501.

I, CODY SHORTER, III, DEPUTY SECRETARY OF STATE, STATE OF TEXAS,
DO HEREBY CERTIFY, in accordance with Section 274.003 of the Texas Election Code, the
following amendment is the proposed constitutional amendment as submitted by the 84th
Legislature, Regular Session, to appear on the constitutional amendment ballot for the special
election to be held November 3, 2015.
PROPOSITION I
"The constitutional amendment increasing the amount of the residence homestead exemption
from ad valorem taxation for public school purposes from $15,000 to $25,000, providing for a
reduction of the limitation on the total amount of ad valorem taxes that may be imposed for those
purposes on the homestead of an elderly or disabled person to reflect the increased exemption
amount, authorizing the legislature to prohibit a political subdivision that has adopted an optional
residence homestead exemption from ad valorem taxation from reducing the amount of or
repealing the exemption, and prohibiting the enactment of a law that imposes a transfer tax on a
transaction that conveys fee simple title to real property."
"La enmienda constitucional que aumentaria el manto de Ia exenci6n de impuestos ad valorem
sabre !a vivienda residencial para prop6sitos de Ia educaci6n pUblica de $15,000 a $25,000,
estab!eceria una reducci6n de /a limitaci6n del valor total de impuestos ad valorem que puedan
ser impuestos par dichos prop6sitos sabre !a vivienda residencial de un anciano o discapacitado

"The constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to provide for an exemption from ad
valorem taxation of all or part of the market value of the residence homestead of the surviving
spouse of a 100 percent or totally disabled veteran who died before the law authorizing a
residence homestead exemption for such a veteran took effect."
