Meet our Ministries!
In Loving Memory of
Maria Luz Tirado
Canchola
This week, our featured ministry is Catechetical Ministries (CM). As the director of CM, Sister
Angela is one of our busiest little bees; you can always find her running around the parish. Classes
meet once a week from September to May, there are 20 volunteer teachers and teachers aids, who
catechize the children and help with other activities. Some of those activities include Sunday
School, Vacation Bible School and the overseeing the children’s booths at the annual parish festival. Sister Angela and her teachers are always willing to participate in parish activities including
soup supper during Lent. Currently, the agenda includes Vacation Bible School this month and
hosting a parish dinner in July.
In Loving Memory of
Margarita J. Lewis
&
James E. Lewis
You might ask, how do I get involved in this ministry? All teachers and aides must be fingerprinted and take a
diocesan training class. For more information, please call Sister at her office 209 931-2696.

The focus of today’s feast is the total self-giving of Jesus. The bishops’ stewardship pastoral reminds us that “the glory and
the boast of Christian stewards lie in mirroring, however poorly, the stewardship of Jesus Christ, who gave and still gives all.
He has and is, in order to be faithful to God’s will and carry through to completion His redemptive stewardship of human
beings and their world.”

Bishop’s Awards
Some food for thought:
Some thought on the celebration of the solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Cristi). One way of
celebrating this Feast of Corpus Christi, besides coming to church and receiving this precious gift of His Body and Blood, is
to have appropriate and modest dress every time we come to church services: Avoid wearing flip flops, bare midriffs, shorts
and spaghetti or strapless tops. Make our summer celebrations always pleasing to the eyes of God and to the community.
This June 12, 2015, Friday, is the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. There will be mass at 7:15 am and also at 6:00 PM. All
are invited to come and participate.
